Superbowl Snacks
Sports have never really been my thing. Despite playing football as a kid, I never really got into watching it on TV. I enjoy playing sports but being a spectator has never really been my thing. What is my thing, you ask? Food, duh.
Growing up, I would go to Super Bowl parties and I would join in the festivities to an extent but I was really just interested in the snacks, commercials, and the halftime show.
This year, I won’t be going to any Superbowl parties but I will probably make some wings and other snacks and settle in for those commercials, the show, and the puppy bowl. Here’s what I’m thinking.
For snacks I can mindlessly shovel into my mouth, Mom’s Crack Crackers are a must. They’re simple, salty and so damn good.
For wings, I’m torn between two of my favorites: Gochujang-Ginger Wings or Tikka Chicken Wings. Bother are great and I’m bad at making decisions so I’ll probably just make both.
If I’m feeling up to it, I might even go buy some oysters and make some mignonette. Why not? It’s just the two of us so we can afford to be a little bougie these days.
